Week 26 Preview
Thursday 19th March 2015

Four teams in action this weekend as the first team have a free week again. The seconds and the two veterans sides are at home whilst the thirds are away at Waterloo.

2nd Team
Saturday 21st March
Roby College (H)
Liverpool Old Boys League Division 2

About the Opposition

Roby College
League: Liverpool Old Boys League Division 2
Position: 1st (37pts from 16 games)
Home Ground: Jericho Lane
Team Colours: Yellow & Black Shirts
The second team are at Buckley Hill this week as they welcome Roby College. The two sides met at Jericho Lane a few weeks back when a one sided match saw Roby win 6-0. It will once again prove a tough match, especially as a win for Roby will seal the title for them. Coeur on the other hand are desperate for more points from their 5 remaining games. Kick off at 2:30pm

3rd Team
Saturday 21st March
Waterloo G.S.O.B. (A)
Liverpool Old Boys League Division 3

About the Opposition

Waterloo G.S.O.B.
League: Liverpool Old Boys League Division 3
Position: 7th (14pts from 13 games)
Home Ground: Shankly Playing Fields
Team Colours: White Shirts

The thirds travel to Litherland Sports Park face Waterloo in a derby match. The 2 sides played out a drab goaless draw on the opening day of the season, so will both be looking for the win. A victory for Coeur would see them move level on points with Waterloo in the table. Its a 2:30pm kick off for Ste's side.

Over 35s Team
Saturday 21st March
Alsop (H)
I-Zingari Combination Medals Competition Group B

About the Opposition

League: I-Zingari Combination Veterans Division 2
Position: 4th (20pts from 13 games)
Home Ground: Harrow Drive
Team Colours: Green Shirts

Coeur started the medals competition with a narrow win over FC Hightown last week, while Alsop lost out to Halewood Town. A win for Coeur would see them with a decent chance of progression in the medals competition. Alsop need to win otherwise they cant qualify for the final. The 2 sides met a fortnight ago in the league with Coeur winning 4-2. The match kicks off at 2:30pm at Buckley Hill.

Over 40s Team
Saturday 21st March
Hillfoot Hey (H)
I-Zingari Combination Over 40s Division

About the Opposition

Hillfoot Hey
League: I-Zingari Combination Vets Over 40s Division
Position: 1st (34 pts from 14 games)
Home Ground: Garston Park
Team Colours: Blue Shirts

After a sound thrashing last weekend, the over 40's host another title chasing side in the form of Hillfoot. Hillfoot will be hoping for a repeat of the 5-0 victory they achieved in November over Coeur, whereas Deano will just be looking for an improved performance from last weekend. The match is a 2:30pm kick off at Buckley Hill.
