After a week off for manager Phil's wedding the firsts travel to Barnham Drive to face South Mersey this week. The sides met at the start of November when South Mersey scored the only goal of the game in the opening couple of minutes. South Mersey had won 9 straight league and cup matches prior to last week's unbelievable 8-0 hammering at home to Cardinal Newman. Coeur have lost 2 high scoring games since the sides last met. The match is a 2:00pm kick off.
The second team are back at Buckley Hill this week, for the return match from against Kingsford. The two sides met a month ago when Coeur let a 2 goal lead slip to draw 2-2. Since the match Coeur have been unfortunate to have taken just 1 point from 3 matches while Kingsford have beaten Alumni home and away before losing last time out to Collegiate. The match kicks off at 2:00pm
The thirds face local rivals Waterloo at Litherland Sports Park. The 2 sides played out a dour 0-0 draw on the opening day of the season. More recently, the 3rds have been winning a game and then losing a game as has been the case in the last 6. Waterloo have played ACOL 3 times in the last 4 matches suffering 2 heavy defeats before a creditable draw last time out. A win for Coeur could see them move within a point of their hosts.
The Over 35s travel to Kirkby to face MCL Vets. Coeur won the previous encounter between the sides with a last minute penalty. Last time out Coeur drew 2-2 with Old Xaverians to spoil their 100% record, though could have won the game having led 2-0. MCL's last game was a week earlier, also against Old Xavs, who beat them 3-1. Coeur will be after 3 points to maintain the pressure on the top 2.
The over 40's are at home to De La Salle. Coeur couldnt field a team last week and had for forfeit the game to Bleak vets. De La Salle have only a solitary point this season and lost to Coeur early on in the season. With both sides in the bottom three, all 3 points could prove vital. The match kicks off at 2:00pm at Buckley Hill.
