Friday 1st November 2013

This week sees all five Coeur sides in action again, weather permitting. With the clocks having gone back last weekend all matches are now 2pm kick offs. Directions can be found by clicking the google maps icon by each match preview

Old Xaverians The firsts face Old Xaverians at SFX College, looking to fair better than the last meeting between the two sides. Old Xavs won 5-1 in the last encounter between the two sides and sit top of the table on 13 points from their 6 games. Phil's side are four points back in sixth place but have played a game less. Kick off is at 2:00pm.

Cardinal Newman The seconds face Cardinal Newman for the second week running, this time at Jericho Lane. Cardinal Newman are in 7th on 7 points having taken 4 points from their last three matches. Coeur are in third place with 14 points from their 7 matches so far. Si's side are looking for a repeat of last week's result having emerged from the windswept Buckley Hill 4-1 victors.

Rhein The thirds are at home where they host bottom side Rhein at Buckley Hill. Chris's side remain in second place in the league having taken 17 points from their eight games. Rhein have struggled so far this season having taken just 1 point from their first 5 games despite a number of close matches.

Whiston Vets The Over 35s are at home against fellow strugglers Whiston Vets. John's side are eighth in the table still looking for their first win of the season, whilst Whiston lie bottom having lost all five of their games so far. The match kicks off at 2:00pm at Buckley Hill.

Midden Vets The Over 40s are away at Lower Breck Road facing Midden Vets. Midden have taken 9 points from their 5 games, winning 3 and losing 2. Last time out they won by the odd goal in 7 against De La Salle. Deano's side are looking to get back to winning ways after last week's mauling at the hands of Bleak Vets.
