I've just read on the Waterloo GSOB Forum thta there is a Charity 5-a-side competition at playfootball on Saturday 2nd June 07 to raise money for Ste Tighe's family.
It costs £10 per person (£80 a team).
No more details.

Is it worth Sacre Coeur putting in a couple of teams ?

As far as i know it is a Littlewoods competition (Ste worked there) and that Waterloo have an open invite (for obvious reasons). As far as us entering sides, I'm not sure if it is an open competition. However, Sacre Coeur will have representatives there in the shape of Mike Speed, Phil Steele and Mick Carr. I wouldn't be suprised to see Looby turn out as well, as he works for them

You're quite right Si, I would have been there, but I am on holiday for 2 weeks as of this coming Tuesday so I will not be able to take part.  I was gutted when I saw the date for the tournament  :-(

It is a Littlewoods event with all proceeds going to charity, so good luck to all who enter.

This sounds like Looby is a closet Liverpool fan and is sneaking off to Athens to watch the Mighty Reds, whilst trying to cover it up using the guise of a '2 week holiday'

What do you reckon?

Sorry but no, but I would love to have another 'holiday' before Tuesday, so you pay for my flight and I'll watch the Reds get beat in the heat of Greece  ;-)

I think the organisers would have preferred teams comprising solely of Littlewoods/ Shop Direct employees but then they widened the net. The deadline has passed yet Ive noticed that some there may be some spaces so if you are interested ive emailed the details to Si. If you contact them quite soon and register your interest, they'll probably be quite receptive. After all, it is for charity. There are some strong teams in there like Seaburn and North Mersey Lions so if you but a team in, make sure it includes some talent, as opposed to Andy Rennard!!!

Just joking!!!

http://www.sacrecoeur.co.uk/docs/Ste-Tighe.pdf - Here is a link to the information Phil Steele is on about.

Anyone thinking of entering will have to organise it quickly and contact someone on the list as it is only 10 days away.
