Gav, superb idea. You have now been duly elected as the organiser of the pre season trip abroad. Good look getting the dosh for it off Mick Carr and Craig (though he has improved somewhat this season).

I reckon loafer will pay for the whole trip in copper, so if you see him round your house shaking your couch upside down he is looking for one of 2 things:

1) A few quid in slummy that has fallen out of various peoples kecks over the years.
or
2) That quarter of Moroccan that he lost last week. (allegedly...ahem)

You're half way there Chris. I'll tell you what you put the trip on your credit card and I'll make sure everyone pays you back.

The Vets have also been talking about this for the end of the season. I have a contact at a company called ITSMADRID, funnily enought Madrid would be the destination . They do all the arrangements in Madrid including tickets for Real Madrid games, all we would need to do is book the flights with Easy Jet, which will be going on sale in the next few weeks. Various Vets teams etc have used them and played against a Real Madrid over 40's including Romario. They can arrange games against all ages groups.

Basically its a long weekend flying out Friday returning Monday, I am geeting details/costs for 27th April- 30th April 2007.

What do you think.

Sounds sweet Flanny, playing against the legendary Romario would be ace. I'd love to see him rip the arse out of Rannard

Good Stuff.

Agenda would be something like this

Friday: -      40 euros for Dinner & nightclub *
Saturday:-  9 euros Tour of Real Madrid       *
                   Football Tournament
                   40 euros Dinner & Nightclub      *
Sunday:-    Free Day
Real Madrid Match (15 euros upfront to book tickets, then
                  the remainder of tkt price)
                 30 euros Dinner                           *
Monday:-  Fly home

* These are optional

Cost before hotels and flight based on this would £130-£150

Then cost of hotels and flights.

Im pretty sure Romario is back in Brazil nowdays. And no matter how good he was/is still it would be some feat to remove that arse from Rannard.

I would love to go but in those dates would rule me out (I can hear Romario breathing a sigh of relief). As a member of the esteemed teaching profession I cannot get days off only school holidays, Easter is 2nd april - 13th april and half term is 28th may - 1st june., I think Mike kennedy would be the same.

This would make it a lot more expensive I am sure, so much as I would like to go i will have to settle for looking at the pics and video phone images of you all acting like t**sers. then again i see that every saturday.

I have posted the info provided by Flanny for the Madrid trip on the Social pages. The cost appears to be £300 intially rising to £420 based upon the activities people wish to partake in when in Madrid (for example going to a Real Madrid match, dinner in restaurants etc.)

Im not sure about Romario playing for the opposition, as previously stated, as I am certain he was a Barcelona player rather than a Madrid player.

If this is to come off people need to register their interest by the 9th of December so arrangements can be made.

I will also look into a pre season trip abroad sometime in August, for those who may be interested in that as well.
