Is this our flanny? The chubby hon sec? Surely he is carrying too much to do the marathon.

I dont mean weight, I mean all those £4 subs he has been collecting. Enough money there to bring Roy Castle back.

I am trying to work out the best way to sponsor you:

1. £10 for every 100 yards - probably pay £20

or

2. £10 for every day it takes you.

Only joking Flan, Good luck.

Yes it's true it is me.

Lets put your money where your mouth is. Instead of donating to the County FA every week.

Flanny,

Take no notice of the jealous fatties on this site, who couldn't run around a marathon chocolate bar (or is it called a snickers now!!), never mind the 26 odd miles for the real thing!!

I'm sure we'll all cough up a few quid, to help you on your way

Flanny, make sure you don't drink to much on the p*ss up on the 22nd or you might not make it to London.

Did he start early or something?

No seriously, I think I saw him on TV, he was dressed as a Vauxhall Astrra and completed it in 34 minutes.

Well done Flan, I am just jealous that I couldnt run 26 yards let alone miles.

I must admit I had a great day. The atmosphere etc is unreal. There are much better ways to see the sights of London. I anybody said they where going to run a marathon the I think this would be the one to do.

I was a little disappointed with my time of 4hrs 51mins, but as I had picked up a calf injury on my last training run the week before and needed physio, my target time was not going to be possible and there was no point in trying to do it and failing. So all I can say is

 I DID IT

I recorded the marathon on sunday on the off chance of seeing Flanny in the crowds and amazingly managed to see him finishing the race!!!!!!

Look carefully and you should be able to spot him.

It must be fake he has still left himself 50 yards to go, or is he getting a bus the rest of the way.
