For those you are not sure what its all about

FA Charter Standard Club Programme

The F.A. Charter Standard Programme looks to provide recognition to those clubs who demonstrate:

• Required standards
• Raising Standards
• Reaching Excellence

There are 3 levels of Awards for Clubs

1. FA Club/ Adult Club 2. FA Development Club 3. FA Community Club

The benefits for clubs achieving the Charter Standard include

• Use of Logos
• Promotional materials
• Funding Bursaries
• Reduced CRB Check Cost
• In-service Training
• Priority Funding Application to the Football Foundation
• Support of F.A. staff
Initially we will aslo receive £100 Umbro Voucher, then £50 Umbro voucher each year on renewal.

But the priority access to funding from Football Foundation is one of the main drivers. Additionally the County Prem, Combination and Old Boys Leagues are looking to become Charter Standard Leagues and need 60% of clubs to be Charter Clubs for them to be Charter Leagues. The leagues currently get FA Grants each year to help run the leagues and in order to maintain these they need to become charter standard leagues.
