Gents,

My apologies to those of you who think this is not the place to put my 'request' but desperate times, require desperate measures....

Early last week I found out that my Dad needs to have a double heart bypass.  I am not the church going type of guy, but I will be praying on Tuesday the 25th April when he will be in Broadgreen hospital undergoing the operation.  I know this sounds daft to some of you, but if you believe if any sort of 'GOD' can you have a word with him / her / it for me?

He will be sixty on the 29th April and our family are hoping that we can all celebrate his birthday with him, even though it will be in the hospital.

Your thoughts will be appreciated......  Thanks gents.

Si, because of this I have cancelled my veterans footy trip to Leeds (just in case), but because I will be close to home, I will be available for the Bootech game to play up front with Mike Carr and Andy Rannard if selected!!!!

Dave, I'm sure the thoughts of everyone connected with Sacre Coeur will be with you and your family at this time.

Please pass on my thoughts to your family.

Dave, hope everything goes well.

I've always thought Andy Rannard must be pretty close to God as he tries to find him with every pass he makes...

Good luck.

Dave

My Dad had a quadruple bypass some 12 years ago and is fine. Couldn't be in a better place the staff etc at Broadgreen Cardio Thorasic centre are superb. My Dad was out inside a week.

I'm sure he will be OK.

Pass on everybodys regards and I sure things will be fine.

Dave, me grandad had the op last year at the age of 80, it was really straight forward, and he's like a spring chicken now.

Dave, I'm sure that everything will go fine with your Dad, CTC has an excellent reputation, despite saving Gerrard Houllier.

As for playing up front, you can f*cking forget it, don't try and live out your goalscoring fantasies at the expense of our defensive record.

OK Si, point taken.

Sometimes it's handy to have a big donkey up front though...

Just look at Liverpool!!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words about my Dad.  Much appreciated.....

Dave if I wanted a big donkey up front, I'm sure I am capable of naming either of the prolific duo of Furlong and Rannard. Plus you have actually notched this season and I'm sure Rob Phil, Andy Rannard and Alan Hulthen would have something to say about it if I gave you the number 9 shirt.
