You may not all be aware but the Civil Service is changing face rapidly and been redeveloped with floodlights & five-a-side pitches.

For information we have a provisionally block booked a seven-a-side pitch for a Tuesday night 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm. The cost is £420 per a 10 week block. The intention is for as many lads to comedown and do some training throughout the summer and next season.

However to make this work we need lads to commit to playing & more importantly paying.

The intention is to charge hopefully no more than £3 per man a night (all depends on numbers). But we need lads to be prepared to bring £10 on the first night to secure the 10 week slot.

It is hoped to be up and running the first week in May when we will have a free session with the block booking starting on Tuesday 9th May.

If you are interested please post a reply or phone your team managers so we can gage the interest.

Unfortunately not.

Sean Mc is responsible for the gym and he has decided that anybody over the age of 10 cannot use it, apart from those at the school. The governors aren't happy but little they can do it seems, ask Liam for further details

Liam, this is were we need your influence with Sean Mcbride.  Why has he backtracked from something John Summerfield promised us??

Tuesday nights sound good to me.  Lets hope we have a lot of our own team turning up (as well as the others) to make it worth while.  Our opposition next season will be better, so we will need to improve accordingly.

The more footy the better for me, so I'll be there.....

Dave (and anyone else), the state of play with the Sports Hall is thus:

Indoor football can only be played by children in Year 4 and under. This was a decision made by the school and despite what may have been intimated previously will not be reversed. The decision was taken to protect the schools investment.

The outdoor 'all weather pitch' is available for £25 per hour (£45 per 2 hour session). There are no floodlights and will only be availble when light permits. It is 32m x 20m approx. (which is the same size as the indoor hall). Bookings are taken for 6pm to 10pm Monday to Friday. Not sure on availability, contact the school for bookings (931 6819 6pm-10pm)

Hope this is useful.

Doyley have you turned into an official government spokesman. It will be "no comment" next. You havent half changed since you became a governor!

Sorry just a bit grumpy as I didnt get much sleep. I was kept awake by the sound of something large grazing a few streets away. I think it was in the direction of G Smith's house. It sounded like foil eggs being opened then scoffed. Having said that Flanny and Doyley both live in that direction as well!

I guess Si must be away as I couldnt hear any egg scoffing from his neck of the woods.
