As the age of the forum membership increases we must have some great stories to share, preferably ones that dont involve me!

To see G Smith and Pete 'Monks haircut' Blundell join, well there in themselves are two legends (or nearer 2 1/2)

Si has put on another pic from the 96/97 season. Worth a look, if only to see the rare appearance of Kev Makin!

That was a good side and if it had managed to stay together could have achieved much more than it did. I cant remember what the cup was, could have been one we won at Nalgo.

Also reading the Coeur history and the first season when we won all games bar one. That was due to our goally at the time, Higgy, crashing his car with half the team in it. Higgy was one of the best goallys I have ever seen but he did have a liking for illegal substances

I am sure he used to drink the embrication fluid that we would alll rub on our legs (from the bottle not from our legs). After the crash we only had 8 players turn up. So we started against them, calling the others for all sorts thinking they had got lost. As I remember we were winning 3-0 at half time but tired and eventually drew 3-3.

Found out about the crash later though all were ok. In fact many benefited as Higgy was keen for his insurance to pay for anything for anyone. I think they were shocked that he had 34 people in his car!

Andy, the cup, I'm sure, is the Roy Wade trophy which we won 7-0. Biggest Roy Wade win in history. I'll try and find the press cutting for it.
