As an ex-striker I am normally biased towards goalscorers. However I feel a special mention must go to our defence. If you look at the current league table we have a goal difference of 38. Quite impressive you may say, but 4 or 5 teams have scored as many goals as us. But when you compare our defensive record against others it is phenomenal. Only 18 goals conceded in 21 games. Fantastic.

A big pat on the back for the defenders.

Fair shout doyley!

Not just the three lads playing there now, but Shelley was superb there when Dave was out injured and Alan Hulthen was faultless whenever he stepped into the defensive breach as well!!

Great call Liam

Shelley, Mike C, Andy R and Alan H were immense in every game I had to watch while injured.  I don't think Alan enjoyed his time there as much as the others, but he was brilliant nonetheless!!

He must be up for the best all rounder and versatile player Sacre Coeur have!?!?!?

I'm sure Dave is just making up awards for people so he can prolong his acceptance speech.

How about Dave Looby up for the 'Best over 35 year old male who still thinks he is a youthful stallion and missed a large portion of the season due to injury, yet still came and watched Award'?

Anyone agree?

Dave Looby, 35? - no chance. I thought he was only 31.

As much as the players, and Mike Dave, Shelley Alan and myself have done fairly well, it is about the system.

If we could get a 'big' forward to join us we could be even more adventorous and play a 3-4-3 formation. That would walk the 2nd division, the still tight defence combined with even more firepower upfront.

"Tell him to go away or I'll kill him!"
"Goals pay the rent!!"

If we could get Gary Smith back fit and well, he would be a great acquisition to sit behind Craig and Pablo.  Come on Si, time to get your cheque book out.....

But that would mean sacrificing a midfielder and who would you leave out?????  Too hard to answer....  Maybe our formula is good enough??

Andy, I played you up front in one game and tragically you had a series of excellent chances, should have got a Harry but only troubled the pigeons in the trees behind the goal.
