Sacre Coeur Former Pupils Football Club
Sportsman's Dinner
Crosby Comrades Club Saturday 14th May 2016
7:00pm

In 1987, John Summerfield had a vision, he wanted to create a club for former pupils of Sacred Heart.
He approached fellow teacher Pete Goley, wrote to several of the lads who had not long left the school and Sacre Coeur was born.

28 years on our great club is still going strong. Come and celebrate another season on the pitch with us

The evening will begin at 7:30pm with food being served at 8:00pm

The food will be a choice of Scouse with Crusty bread or Chilli with rice, provided by the excellent Spoilt For Choice from Coronation Road in Crosby. If you do have any specific dietary requirements, then please mention this when purchasing your ticket and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Following the food we are delighted to have Everton and England legend Joe Royle speaking.

Joe played 556 times in his club career most notably for Everton and Manchester City. During his career he managed to score 180 times. He was also capped 6 times by England, scoring twice.

Joe then had spells in management with Oldham Athletic where he was manager for 12 years between 1982-94, before moving onto manage Everton, Manchester City, Ipswich Town before returning to Oldham.

Joe had a special affinity with the F.A. Cup reaching the semi-finals twice with Oldham, before winning the Trophy in his first season as Everton's manager.

After Joe has spoken, we will be presenting the club awards for the season, including Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer for each team. There will also be the now traditional miscellaneous awards for the memorable moments that each team has from the season.
