Good start to the season, despite difficult 10 minutes of adjusting to a team more adept at playing in a higher division Coeur broke the deadlock after a fine cross from Sinclair was headed down by Steele, beating the goalie & centre half then heading on past the keeper and prodding into the back of the net.

The game played on as a relentless 3 way battle between Coeur, Alumni and the old foe that is the Jericho Lane wind with some good defending and saves from Ant and crucial tackles from post Ibiza Kenni Jackson sadly not sporting his zebra body paint.

Sinclair, moved out wide to compensate for Clarkson who was absent through injury, got his second assist playing a cross filed ball to Cahill who took on the defence, rounded the keeper and slotted home.

Heading into half time, Cahill's goal seemed to give Coeur some breathing space yet Chuk clearly hadnt read the script. With the ball looping into the box Chuk, with the striker at his heels placed a perfectly placed shot into the to corner past Ant to give the Alumni home support (which included a Summo lookilike on a bike with shades on) something to cheer. Chuk claims this is his first own goal!?!

Chuk, who it should be mentioned is always late, possibly meant the own goal as it meant that Coeur took on the second half with gusto and a renewed vigour.

Josh, who had put in some fine corners and free kicks opened his account for the season with a stunning 30 yarder around the 70 th minute after picking the ball up from skipper Sinclair. The game was sealed at this point and other efforts including a 25 yarder tipped over the bar from Steele & a trademark Cahill run and shot didnt matter.
