Without doubt this was the team's best chance of recording a victory and for the first 45 minutes victory looked very possible after both sides failed to score in the opening half. Alas an early penalty in the second half put Sacre Coeur onto the back foot and two further scores for St Mary's put victory beyond Coeur.
The highlight came twelve minutes from time when Andy Rannard headed home a consolation goal. For Andy it was rare occurence but one which which was fully merited after his contrbutions to the season.
Nothing much can be added. Simon Furlong made a great save early on and I am very grateful to him for stepping into the breach at the last minute.
This was, yet again, an improved performance but the inability to field a settled side once again proved the achilles heel.
Meanwhile on the next pitch Darren's fourth team came back from two-nil down to take the necessary point to ensure the title in Division 4. Well done lads.
