Having started the match with nine players, the result was never really in question. In fact Sacre Coeur played better with nine men. Having increase their personnel to ten Coeur went behind and a goal just before the interval gave St Mary's an excellent platform for the second half.
An early goal in the second half settled the issue and then some woeful marking allowed a very ordinary home side to pull clear with three further goals.
Apart from some inspired runs by Richard D'Cruze in the first half and Christian Foley rattling the bar with a header in the second half, this was another display which was never going to take off after so many players made themselves unavailable.
As manager one is dreading Old Xaverians next week as they always provide strong opposition.
