In a game with no goals both defences did well, and at the heart of ours Paddy led the team brillantly and won some important headers and tackles

With the season drawing to a close every result counts, this could down as a vital point or points dropped we will have to wait to see. The game started off as good as some of the best ones this season with possesion and chances falling to ourselves. With Roby having 5 in the midfield also and having some tidy players, the middle of the pitch at times was congested and not much football came through the middle. Most of the chances fell to Pimbley which came from some nice balls from the back in particular Sean who lobbed some lovely balls into Dannys path but he made the wrong decision on most occasions either trying to shoot first time or run onto it and every time either missing or some good saves by the Roby keeper.

HD did great in the middle winning as normal header after header but we didnt read the flight of the ball well today didnt create too many chances from what appeared to be our main threat all game.

At half time Roby were delighted with drawing with us and I would say 80% of possesion was with us and if Danny had been his normal self the record he is chasing could have been broken in the first half.

Half time 0 - 0

Second half we were going slightly uphill and im not sure if this had any effect on our second half performance but we werent as dominating and didnt create as many chances. Roby grew in confidence but didnt really have many opportunities to go in front. The whole back four defended well when called upon and I never felt they were going to score. I went off for Tal who went on the left and Richie came into the middle. As the game went on we ran out of ideas and Roby lapped up our long balls, with less and less football being played confidence drained. Richie come off for Karlo as a straight swap, Fran went up front and Peter come into the middle. Even this change to 352 formation didnt stop our only threat being a throw or lump up to Danny or Dave.

In the last minute Roby had a free kick on the edge of the box, which was taken well and the save of the match came from Neil who if he hadnt been as good as he is wouldnt have got to it, well done Neil

At the end everyone was disappointed but it was a clean sheet and a point against a team who should be higher up the table than they are. With Waterloo winning today no room for error now and with 5 games to go its still in our own hands I would have took this at the beginning of the season, come the Couer, on another day its  5 -0 today one of them days.
