Biggest win so far for the Couer, an excellent Danny Pim double hat- trick helped sealed the points in what began with another slow start. Both teams had chances in the early exchanges which resulted in Waterloo taking the lead within 10 minutes after a still drunk McKeown (drinking pink champagne until 3 in the morning????!!!!)attempted to head the ball in the area only for it to fall to a Waterloo player who was able to dispatch over a stranded Oldfield.
Couer like last week plugged along and chances fell for Pimbley but he missed a couple before getting the ball on the left hand side of the box putting it through a defenders legs round another before finishing from a tight angle to make it one all. McMillan dropped deeper to assist the midfield and this extra body worked a treat and he an excellent game from that point. With Couer starting to apply pressure through Bourne, Lawless and Hughes, Bourne won the ball in the middle of the park before skipping past a couple of tackles and from outside the box hitting it in the bottom left hand corner catching the keeper off guard who managed to get a hand to it but unable to stop it going in. As Couer pushed for more Lawless fed Pimbley down the right who whipped in a great cross for Bourne who finished superbly with his head to give a 3 -1 lead. Couer settled down, defended well and the only chance which Waterloo created came from a spilled shot by Oldfield who did excellent to recover and block a shot from close range.

Half time the manager demanded a hat tricks from Pimbley and he delievered two, some great football in the second and I cant remeber all the goal which Danny scored, but we went 5 -1 up and the goals were created by Danny himself who had the Waterloo defence showing him "TOO MUCH RESPECT" their words for the rest of the game. Waterloo couldnt compete with the pace of Hughes, hard working performance by Lawless and excellent determination from Bourne. McMillan and Hoare covered any attack that come through and the Waterloo second goal come through a free kick nicely placed in the six yard box. With Oldfield not coming for it and Hughes not tracking his man allowed the attacker to finish easliy. This caused a few minute spell of Couer players all shouting shit and no one listening to one another before getting back on track Lea(aka Hedges) came on for Hurst who has an injured ankle before the game and had a tough game against a fast left winger and McMillan allowed Brannigan (aka Benson) a run in centre mid. A throw from the right gave Bourne a chance to flick on a header against four defenders which allowed Pimbley to head into a goal with a stranded keeper. Pimbley created two more chances for himself as he had a field day against a Waterloo defence who had gone 3 at the back to finish a comfortable win.
With a team that finished with Benson and Hedges (think Mike Bassett) playing it this was a great performance particulary by Danny. Rob Cav did great out of position at left back giving them nothing down that wing. And with McMillan pushed into the unusual role of centre midfield and doing well, the team was a little of sorts but did great. With a few good players to come back into the team the future looks good, keep it up boys well done.
