A good win this week for the Coeur, with player manager Hoare restricted to the bench with an office based injury, McMillan was drafted into centre mid, and with Brannigan with the thirds, McKeown was put left back and Bourne given a rare start at centre half.
A decent start by Couer and some nice football which in Pimbley hit the post with an effort just inside the box, McMillan asked to be subbed after 20 minutes due to an horrendous injury, he couldnt breath, his asthma had got the better of him, and after weeks of telling me he could do a better job in centre midfield a wry smile greeted Mike as he PUFFED (in more ways than one off the pitch). Unfortunately a long punt upfield by Kingsford caught the defence flat footed and the quick forward finished well to give them the lead. A chance created by nice football through Lea, Pimbley, Cavendish and Lawless gave Chris the chance to score with the keeper stranded, but it was brilliantly blocked on the line by a Kingsford defender.
Couer confidence dipped a bit and we lacked ideas for the last 15 minutes of the half, but werent trouble by Kingsford either.

The second half started pretty similar to the first, some nice football by Couer, but unable to create anything decent, Lea and Hayles kept trying to play down the flanks, and with a close range effort by Kingsford smashing against the bar Couer started to up the tempo.
McKeown had gone to centre half, pushing Bourne into centre midield and 10 minutes into the second half he was replaced by mini Dazzer ( a lad brought into the team to make Rob Cav look big)
Rob Cav was pushed to the right and Lea went upfront with Pimbley, and a straight swap of Lawless and Devlin, gave the team a little extra push and bodies in the final third of the pitch (managerial genius I hear you say)
With 20 minutes remaining Pimbley got two goals in a round a minute. The first after being slid through by Lea and he rounded the defender and keeper before putting it past the last defender on the line. The second, another through ball he contested with the keeper and won much to the dismay of the Kingsford players as they shouted for a foul. Danny neatly slotted for that one too.
Couer reverted back to Lea on the right and Danny upfront and held out easily for the last 15 minutes. A good solid performance, no moaning and belief we would get back into it, a pleasure to see. Devlin pushed Pimbely for MOM and Daz did excellent when he came on supporting the attack and defending well. Cavendish, Lawless also gave dogged performances and McKeown defended well, while Hurst continued to be an outlet at full back. Some nice football at times.
Well done boys
