More problems with selection this week as several players were again unavailable, most noticeably defensive duo of Tommy Stevo and Shunter. Lynchy and Draper were also both unavailable in the centre of the park as well.
A strange match that suffered from a lack of quality, even if the effort couldnt be faulted. Bootleians took the lead in the first half when a corner whipped into the nearpost was fumbled into his own net by the luckless Kev Taylor. Kev's misery was complete when the ref insisted on taking his name so he could record him as the scorer of the oggy. Apart from the mishap few clear cut chances were created by either side and Bootleians went into the break leading.

Coeur responded well in the second half and scored an outstanding goal. A move consisiting of 20 or so passes was calmly finished off by Mick Taylor to give Coeur a deserved equaliser. For 15 minutes after the goal their looked like there was only going to be one winner. The impressive Kev Henerty fired just over from 25 yards and fellow new recruit Dave Parry blazed over when clean through on goal. Craig Burns also narrowly missed with a snapshot from 10 yards out. Predictaby, it was Bootleians who netted the winner, when a stinging shot found its way through a crowded penalty area and into the bottom corner of the net.
A disappointing loss, and probably a little unjust, but Coeur need to play better if they are to start climbing the table.
