A hard on to give in an all round good Cup Final Victory. But for me Dave Sutton just shades it with two goals and tireless running upfront

Lets start with congratulations to all the players and managers Jonny and absent in Madrid, Robbie on this evenings well earned final victory.

Sacre Coeur took on board Jonnies pre match talk of lets get a quick start and within 5 minutes Coeur took the lead when Martin Whitehead applied the finishing touch to a cross from an acute angle inside the six yard box. A second came before the 10th minute when Dave Sutton raced onto a through ball, with the goalkeeper uncertain what to do Dave calmly slotted the ball past him to give Sacre Coeur a deserved early led that Coeurs play deserved.

Aintree Villa can back into it after the early shock of two early goals and missed a couple of chances due to poor a combination of finishing and good defending by Pardoe, Joe, Shea and Ste Alli and Macca in goal getting some vital touchs to crosses coming into the area.

Couer then had a seemingly good 3rd goal ruled out by a linesmans flag before half time.

Coeur took a deserved 2-0 lead into the break.

Couer had a glourios chance early in the second half when Paul Jackson raced clear with only the keeper to beat Jacko fired over when a goal seemed the most likely outcome.

Aintree Villa started to press but a lot of their moves where broken up in midfield by Martin Wilson, Danny Richard and Ste Alty. Villa in quick succession hit the post and cross bar. Sacre Coeur then hit back with a couple of good moves to releave the increasing pressure before Villa had a goal disallowed on 81 minutes.

With 3 minutes remaining Dave Sutton made sure with his second and Coeurs third racing clear of the Villa defence to fire home past the keeper to seal the victory and first trophy in the I Zinagri Combination since season 2005-06.

A deserved victory in an entertaining game.
