This week Mr Chairman has opted to do the match report in the style of the Old Grandstand videprinter:
Angus Village 1 v 0 Sacre Coeur
How the hell did we manage to lose the game? - was the question on everybody's lips at the end of the game.
Easy answer is that we didn't score - simple as. Not that we didn't have the chances. To be fair even if every player ran over a black cat while smashing a mirror we couldn't have more bad luck than we've had today.
Again a few key players missing meant a makeshift side but still one good enough to have taken all three points.
The Game itself....
5 mins - A good move by Angus Village saw a good header across the box go begging as the attacker headed over.
7 mins - Good move by Coeur resulting in a strike from the edge of the box by Ginger going just wide.
10 mins - Quick break by Angus Village saw attacker go clean through, shot looped over Dave the Goalie who managed to tip it onto the bar/ post. The rebounded to the attacker who got his shot off as Dave the Goalie was getting up off the floor, who then managed to scramble across goal and turn it around for a corner. AMAZING DOUBLE SAVE. Unfortunately Dave the Goalie getting his first injury of the game as he collided with the upright.

37 mins - Angus Village take the lead as slight hesitation at the back allows attacker to strike home giving Dave the Goalie no chance. 1-0.
39 mins - Long ball into box by Sacre Coeur, again keeper drops but not landing to a Coeur attacker as keeper recovers.
41 mins - Great move by Mick Carra forcing himself through a variety of challenges and then playing the ball outwide to Cooper who knocked a cross in to John Carra who flashed a shot just wide.
The game then proceeded to fizzle out as Coeur pressed every opportunity to pull a goal back but alas, to no avail.
A 1-0 defeat it was......................................... roll on Tuesday.
All credit to the lads though for battling and carrying on until the final whistle in their desperate search for an equaliser. On another day we might have come away winners by 7 goals to two.
