Played One, Won One.

Sacre Coeur 1st's played their first ever Liverpool County Premier League Division One game and beat Edge Hill 2-1 in a game that could, on one hand, have been wrapped up by half time, and on the other, could have proved fruitless had Edge Hill sneaked a couple of chances.

Cooper bagged an early goal to give Coeur the lead and Coeur had the lion's share of the first half creating some good chances but guilty of some wasted efforts (The bobbly pitch didn't help), and Dave Moran snuffing out most of the Edge Hill chances.
Edge Hill struck the bar in the first half with a good chance from a difficult angle.
John Carra put Coeur two nil up with a good strike following a good move through the middle and a lay off by Big Dunc.

The second half continued just as the first half left off, Coeur creating some good opportunities without any cutting edge. Coeur finding themselves frustrated by not being able to fully kill the game off and not showing their usual match sharpness.
Credit to the lads though as they battled on with a couple of key players missing and a makeshift back four. Edge Hill pulled one back after a bit of hesitation at the back but as the game drew to a close it was only one team who was going to win it - and they did.

One game, one win, 3 points - happy days.
Roll on Essemay Tuesday night.
