Mr Chairman made the trip overseas this week as Coeur faced Rockville in Wallasey. Here is his account of the game.
Hey, 3 points are 3 points at this stage of the season (ask Bankfield).
How Rockville are allowed to get away with this pitch in the County Prem is a discrace. It was awful (and dangerous - ask Cherry).
A lacklustre first half saw Coeur huff and puff but not produce much. The first corner of the game came on 40 minutes. Frustration set in with the lack of chances and the football didn't flow. Cherry went off after falling down a hole in the pitch and twisting his ankle.
The second half was a different affair. Within seconds of the restart Coeur had a good chance to score and within 10 minutes were 2-0 up. Roachy 'knocked' home the first after good wing play by John Carra. Roachy then bagged again when put through he calmly slotted home.
As Coeur found a new lease of life and decided to press forward for more, Rockville decided to go for goal (once) - and they scored.
It wasn't long before Coeur found themselves two goals ahead again when a long ball from the back found the on rushing Ginger who beat the keeper to the ball and his shot at goal, whilst looking to go wide, hit a divet in the poor surface and found itself in the net. 3-1.
